Shannon & Wayne - July 22, 2006

Wow! What a crazy month that I am just now posting on my blog for the wedding LAST weekend! It says nothing about our excitement about this couple as they were so fun to photograph. Shannon was always smiling and laughing, and Wayne was pretty much just intrested in keeping her smiling. Their love for each other is so evident that their joy was contagious! Thank you guys so much for allowing us this honor and for braving the rain and icky outside. Shannon and Wayne were married at the Methodist Church in Saranac Lake, followed by a reception at the Hotel Saranac. Watch for the slideshow, it should be up on Monday: http://www.photographybyrae.com/weddings/slideshow/weddings.html

Rebekah's First Year- 6 months

I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting Rebekah's Baby's First Year sessions. Watching her grow has just been amazing! We started the sessions back when Christina was pregnant, and this was our 4th shoot (pregnancy, newborn, 3 month, and 6 month). All of our other shoots had been in her home, but since the weather was wonderful, we wondered down to Lake Colby. So fun! Rebekah just loves the camera, but I think part of that is because she can see herself smiling back at her in the lens. If you are interested in a baby's first year package, please, call or email me; I have a variety of packages (both with and without albums).

Karin & Matthew's Engagement Session

A few days ago, Karin and Matthew were brave enough to trek out to Saranac Lake early in the morning from Keesville. The early morning was worth it because we had a quiet engagement session all around Saranac Lake before anyone else was really awake in town. :-) (it wasn't THAT early; people just like to sleep in on weekends, I guess). Engagement sessions are so invaluable for both myself and couples; now Matthew will be fully prepared of what to expect in less than a month on their big day! ;-)

Erin & Damon - July 14, 2006

Congratulations to Erin and Damon- winners of the best dancing bride and groom ever! ;-) Yesterday, we spent the entire day with this fun fun FUN couple as they tied the knot at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Lake Placid, NY. Not only are they great dancers, they were up for anything! So, since we were running a little ahead of schedule, we dropped by Desperados (a mexican restaraunt on the way back to the Hotel Saranac) for a few Coronas with the wedding party. Of course, it was more than just a really fun day; it was a huge honor to have become good friends with these guys over the course of the last 9 months we'd been booked for them. Thank you so much to everyone at the wedding. It was such a wonderful wedding!

Emily & Rory - July 8, 2006

Congratulations to Emily and Rory on their new marriage! Chris and I shot the wedding of this lovely couple last weekend along with our lovely assistant Brianna (aka Chris' sister). I am not sure it could've been warmer in that church, but everyone survived without passing out... and we even saw Rod Stewart roaming the streets of Lake Placid (or at least, we think!). Emily and Rory were married at St. Eustace Episcopal Church with a reception at the Whiteface Club & Resort. Thank you both for your kind generosity.

Andrea & Dan's Engagement Session

On Wednesday, Chris and I went to Annie's mom's place on Upper Saranac Lake for her engagement session with Dan. This couple could not have been easier to photograph! The location was beautiful, and Andrea and Dan almost forgot we were there as the paparazzi surrounding them... almost. ;-) We are really looking forward to the big day in October at the Whiteface Club and Resort!

Kristine & Brian - July 1, 2006

Last Saturday, I had the honor and joy of shooting the wedding of Kristine and Brian. Even though I was eaten alive by nasty bugs, I enjoyed every moment of their day: beautiful day, beautiful couple, beautiful big white tent... good food! Not only did they feed me, but I can honestly say that this was the first time I have had a bride insist that I sit at her table next-to her! It is so obvious how much they love eachother and other people. What an amazing family! Kristine and Brian were married at the Wild Goose Lodge in Loon Lake. Please, visit our slideshow link on the wedding main page to see more images from this wedding.
