New house

We finally found some time to get a picture of us and our new house up so here it is. This was taken right after we got all of our stuff moved into the house so i think we were a little delirious... note the prom picture pose that i'm striking.

Stay tuned for pictures of this sweet new album that we just got yesterday.

Finished "save the date" cards

I just thought I would share the finished design that we came up with for Meghan & Travis' save the date cards. My brother, David Schultz, helped me with the twig and berries part- he converted a photograph of mine into a silouette design (and did a marvelous job might I add). I am really excited to see it in print. Studley Printing in Plattsburgh will be doing all of the printing for the save the dates and invitations. Contact me for their contact info or just look them up on our vendors list under the information link on my site.

Brrrrr!

Sometimes I just can't believe that people can survive this kind of weather. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? I can just feel my blood thickening as I type.

Since there is a "heat wave" on Saturday, Chris and I may just have to get outside and enjoy the snow... skiing or snowshoeing. ;-)

We're done moving!

We are so incredibly blessed with so many friends in our community and church that just jumped at the chance to help us move on Saturday. It was so humbling to be told to just stand in the doorway and tell people where to put things. We literally had about 15 people that were there to help move, pack the remnants, and clean up afterward. THANK YOU ALL!! We appreciate it so much, and we definitely feel loved. Once we are not surrounded by boxes or travelling, we will have to host an open house for anyone who wants to come! Thanks again! (pictures are delayed due to said boxes)

P.S. We still do not have internet OR our home phone due to not having cable... (I moved my computer out to Chris' office for a few days)

We're moving!

Hey everyone, we just wanted to let you know that we just closed on our house today! So we are super busy getting everything packed and ready for the move tomorrow. Check out this video that we made and stay posted as we TRY to keep you updated on what's going on.

P.S. Our new address is:

4 McClelland St.
Saranac Lake, NY 12983

so send us your love :-)

Lyndsey & Patrick's slideshow!

It is ready! Click here to view it. I have to apologize for the first and last page- we are having technical difficulties to get it to the right format, so it looks pretty pixellated currently. It is also in a new format... we are going to attempt to predesign a flushmount album for every wedding in 2007 instead of just selecting a few images for a slideshow. Go to Leather Craftsmen to view what a finished album would look like.

Side Note: We are FINALLY closing on our house in a little over 2 hours from now, and we are moving tomorrow!!! So, we may be MIA for a little while... Have a great weekend everyone!

Lyndsey & Patrick - Deer Park, Biltmore Estate

Chris and I are so excited to be back in North Carolina (even though we leave tomorrow), but we are even more excited about the images from last night's wedding. Congrats to Lyndsey & Patrick!! What a beautiful night! They were married at the Deer Park Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC on a balmy January night. ;-) It was such a blessing to be a part of such a sacred and sweet occasion, and I was just continually humbled to be present in such intimate moments among so many amazing believers.

I definitely shed some tears as Patrick spoke of how the relationship between the bride and groom are much like the relationship Christ has with His children... but before that, I shed tears as they shared a private prayer before the ceremony while a door separated them. (Notice the group shot where the bride and groom were on opposite sides- they managed to not see each other before, even though we took this shot).

At any rate, we had a blast... and it is time for rest now. ;-) The slideshow will be up by the end of the week, but these are a good sneak peak of some of my favorites. God bless you guys!

Heather & Pat's Engagement Session

Check out some of the images from Heather & Pat's enagement session last week! We had these great plans of getting some shots of the two of them ice skating on the Olympic Oval in Lake Placid, but since it was so unseasonably warm, they were closed for the day. So, instead, we just walked around the (shhh) High School and down on Mirror Lake- with a special long stop at the playground. Chris and I can't wait for the big day in just a month!

annie & dan's album!

I am so excited about Annie & Dan's flush mount album that I posted a slideshow of it on my site. Check it out! This is just page one. Once the album passes their approval, it will go to print and bind. In a few months, there will be a sample of it available at the Whiteface Club & Resort for any future bride to look through!

My mom's blog!

Hooray for the Asheville Muses (my mom's vocal ensemble)! My mom just started blogging for them and has featured a video of Mary Jane Queen and some shots I have taken of them in the past few years.

Event Cards & Portrait Order

Check out the four images Lyndsey will have on her event cards (wallet prints with instructions on the back for guests to find her online gallery). We are in the midst of switching online proofing servers. Currently, we use Pictage, but in about 6 weeks, we will be completely switched over to a new online system using Miller's Professional Imaging for our lab. Thank you all for bearing with us during this switch- as long as guests go to our site first, there should be little confusion.

Oh, the last two images are 11x14s that will be framed at the reception.

Lake Placid Bridal Show this Sunday!

This Sunday, from 1-4pm, there will be a bridal show at the Lake Placid Hilton down by Mirror Lake. Chris and I went to this show last year and had not only a tremendous success with booking 3 weddings, but we also met many of the area's best vendors. If you are around the area on Sunday, please, stop by to meet us (or just say 'hi' if you have already met us). I believe the cost of admission is only $2.

This year, we will be giving away a grand prize of $400 off any package, as well as several engagement shoots. In addition to our grand prize, anyone who attends the show, signs our list and then books by January 11 (next Thursday) will automatically get 10% off of any wedding day coverage! This is the only time this year that we are giving away discounts, so be sure to come if you can!!

Lyndsey's Bridal Portrait Session (take 2)

Wow, we are finally home, and I just hit the ground running. Even though I finished Lyndsey's portraits last night (and the slideshow is uploading right now), I thought I would still post some of my favorites from my camera from her shoot last week. Keep your eyes posted for the slideshow (Rebekah's first birthday will also be available today on slideshow).
