Heather & Patrick's Album Design!

It is up and running and ready to view in slideshow format! Click here to see it. You can also get to it on my site by clicking on the CLIENTS tab and then clicking on View Wedding Slideshows. I just had to post one of my favorite pages. Look at how cool their cake is! Lake Flour Bakery in Saranac Lake does amazing work (even though their site is kinda cheesy), and it tastes good, too... and I don't typically like cake.

California! (pt 3)

I have so many images I want to post from our trip that I am just piling them on for this final post since we are leaving TOMORROW for IRELAND!!! I am so excited. These images are from trips with my brother to Wayfarers Chapel and the Aquarium in Long Beach, trips with Chris' grandpa to Laguna Beach, and a trip to Disneyland with Chris' cousins Heather, Kendra and Macie. The pile of work is dwindling to that which can wait until we get back on March 12. Oh, and by the way, not sure who says "yikes" these days, but apparently I do when I am REALLY tired. Catch me in about 3 hours, and I might be saying it again. ;-)

(Just kidding- Photoshop crashed on me, and I lost all the resized images from everything other than Disney. I honestly can't take the time today to resize them again- sorry to disappoint! Maybe later...)

It is 2AM, and I am posting on my blog

Yikes, I am so tired, but there is so much to finish before we leave Thursday morning, before the sun comes up, for Ireland for 11 days... Here is what kept me up: Heather & Pat's predesigned album. This is the first page and the last (60 pages in all). Look for the complete set in the slideshow part of my site tomorrow, and if i get around to it, there will be more posts on California. Good night! Sleep tight!

California! (pt 2)

Chris has the cutest cousins ever! One of the first things we did in California was visit his Uncle Rod and wife Mariah and their children... Macie is their youngest, and she is such a ham- "LOVES the camera" just might be an understatement. She also had just had her fingernails painted and was very proud of them. Kendra is the young lady in the picture with Mariah... more of her later (we went to Disneyland with her).

California! (pt 1)

As many of you know, Chris and I took a much-needed vacation for 10 days to visit family in California. We did so many fun & relaxing things that one blog post just won't do. These are shots from our first day in the convertible that Chris' dad rented for us as an anniversary gift and shots from our afternoon on the beach... Chris even got a little sunburned that day... sun burn in February!! .... more to come ....

wellwed magazine

I have officially become a nationally published photographer! WellWed is a new upscale wedding magazine from the makers of Vermont Vows, and I am just tickled to be featured throught the magazine! Check out the first page and the last page- Brette & John are sweeping those layouts... not to mention the other collage pages on pages 14-17 where shots from various couples' weddings were in the mix: Joanna & Mike, Erin & Damon, Nicki & Steve, Karin & Barry, and Kelly & Nick.

Our ad is on page 49. We also have images on page 21 on the Whiteface Club & Resort's ad. (Someone forgot to put a credit line for our two images of Annie & Dan). These magazines will be on newstands in Barnes & Noble and/or Borders all over the nation, as well as wedding locations all over Upstate New York.

winter white

our site changed to white today... in honor of all the snow that is melting and all the nasty snow on the side of the road that is holding strong. We know more snow will come. The brown will come back... probably... :-) Happy winter day!

we're back!!!

oh wow, it has only just begun... we got back at 4am this morning from California (needless to say, we are tired). we had such a wonderful time, and i have a million shots of our vacation that i want to share, but for now...

We had a portrait session with Jessica Claire! We were actually the subjects this time. We never really had professional engagement portraits (and I have been growing increasingly jealous of all of our couples that we shoot), and after a year and a half of staring at shots of my wedding gown, I wanted to switch out some of our displays and have some nice shots of us for the site as well. Anyway, I totally wish we had known about her before our wedding (even though she is about 3 times as much as what our photographer was). She is so talented. Check out the preview on her blog.

Heather & Pat's Wedding - Lake Placid, NY

Congratulations to Heather & Pat on their new marriage! Chris and I had the honor of capturing their special day yesterday at the Comfort Inn in Lake Placid. The snow was really coming down, so we couldn't get any scenic shots of the Adirondacks. But, Main Street in Placid served as a great plan B!

The veil-like pictures were actually not taken with the bride's veil (as that detail was accidently omitted in their day); we captured these using the veil-like material that was hanging from the arch they were married under. As for the little girl (the best man's daughter), she was quite the dancer, so I just HAD to put this shot up on the blog- very blog-worthy!

To all our faithful blog-readers: we are leaving EARLY tomorrow morning for a 10-day trip to California to visit family and just chill. We will try to update the blog with shots from the vacation, but I will not be able to check my email very often (nor will I be glued to my cell phone). We will be back! ;-)

Joy & Ryan - Engagement at Wild Center

Yesterday, I had the joy and honor of capturing Joy & Ryan's engagement photos at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. We had originally thought that they would do some snowshoeing or hiking, but we are so glad that we changed that plan, seeing as the HIGH yesterday was around -4 F!! The wind was extra bitter, but it was nice and cozy inside the museum. And, I really had a wonderful time getting to know them a little and capturing their joy! ;-) They will be getting married on July 7 (7.7.07) on Linda Island. I am really excited for their big day. Joy will make such a beautiful bride!
