Gotham Family - Cranberry Lake, NY

Yesterday morning, I met up with former July bride Shannon and her sister at their parents' place on Cranberry Lake. Shannon and Wayne just introduced baby George into the world 6 weeks ago (they didn't waste any time). ;-) Oddly enough, Shannon's sister just had a baby boy (Sam). So, I met up with them to capture some sweet pictures of their new babies and big brother Jack. It was such a blessing to be able to photograph a former client's baby! I struggled a little narrowing it down... :-)

sneaky peak

we are getting a new site! no, we are not getting rid of our current one, as we know you all love it. the business for portraits is starting to pick up, and i am hoping to run an ad campaign in the local papers for a few weeks for children's portraits (NOT family reunions). anyway, the current site was just a little crammed, not to mention a little formal for the messy & fun kids (and authors/musicians/models) i love to photograph! so, we have a new one... and we are shifting the current one to be completely dedicated to weddings, engagements and those lovely bridal portraits.

the new site is under serious construction (choosing images, music, colors, text, etc), but it should launch in a week or two. in the meantime, if you want a sneak peak... click here and then click on 'portraits.' any feedback is greatly accepted!

Maddox & Family - Hiawassee, GA

Yesterday morning, I met up with toddler Maddox and his family. He was a little under the weather, so his sweet cousin joined him to cheer him up. Maddox was very expressive, and I just LOVED so many of the facial expressions that he shared with my lenses. McKenzie (his mom) had a great idea to go to the creek: so fun!

Tanner - Blairsville, GA

Yesterday afternoon, I met Tanner and his parents at their house right outside Blairsville, GA. What a lively little boy! He is destined to be a farmer in no time... just loving those shovels, 4-wheelers and tractors... well, and ladybugs. He took such joy in so many things, and he just talked up a storm! What fun to step into Tanner's world!

The Copeland Kids - Davidson, NC

On Tuesday night, I ventured out to Davidson once more for this trip down South for a portrait session with the Copeland family. Their kids are just so sweet... their dog however must've mistook my calve for a lamb chop (see last photo- Gibson is most likely witnessing this moment in this image). Unfortunately, this cut our session short. But, I still had a wonderful time with the Copelands as they cleaned my wounds, fed me, medicated me and boozed me. :-) I am fine now- for all that are wondering... Nothing a few antibiotics and a tetanus shot and lots of Ibuprofen can't fix. But, there goes my leg modelling career! ;-) It looks like I will have some sweet scars with an even better story. Who knew photographing weddings and children would be so dangerous! Thank you guys for being so great, in spite of the circumstances. I will come back!

Hannah's 1st Birthday - Charlotte, NC

This morning, I met Hannah and her parents on her grandparents' front yard in South Charlotte for her first birthday session. Hannah is such a doll with the cutest smile ever! But, of course, you can tell that from the images here. Thank you guys so much!

The Worsley Kids - Davidson, NC

Last night, I had the sheer joy and pleasure of photographing my dear friends the Worsleys. These kids have grown up so fast- hard to believe I babysat them when Hollins was just 4, Will was almost 2 and Cam was just a twinkle in Holly & Billy's eyes. ;-) Needless to say, Cam was a total ham!
